Nancy's Story
No matter where I live or work, I'll always consider Crown Point to be my home. I must note that my freshman year was spent at Mt. Vernon High School in Southern Indiana, and I still have fond memories of my friends there. My favorite college campus is in Bloomington, Indiana, where I first earned my Journaslim degree and practically lived at Ernie Pyle Hall. After teaching English and Journalism at high schools in Germany, Minnesota, Texas and even CPHS, I focused my interests a little more and moved to Virginia Beach to obtain a Master's in Communications and Television Production.
Career wise, one of my greatest joys is in producing television programs, documentaries and films. I can only be thankful that I won a Prime Time Emmy Award on a daily magazine/ news talk show in Chicago, and also a Gold Medal at the Houston Internation Film Festival. The screenplay I wrote and helped produce went on to win a Silver Telly. I worked with the Christian Broadcasting Network in Virginia Beach as a producer, and I free-lanced stories for them on the West Coast. ng, I also taught film and television classes at Palomar College in Vista, California.
I'm always researching materials and interviewing archaeologists and scholars for documentaries concerning Israel. Currently I'm helping to create Messianic Productions which will bring these docs to life for network television.
My husband, Randy, is a 1965 graduate from Crown Point High School. He went on to become the Distinguished Military Graduate from Purdue in 1969, and for two years we lived in Butzbach, Germany where he served as an officer in the Army. Later he went into finance and was transferred to Southern California. We have lived in many states, but we now have a home in Murrieta, California - not too far from San Diego and L.A. We love it here with the mountains, ocean and lots of sunshine. Life certainly has its ups and downs, but our faith is in God.
We have a daughter, Stephanie who lives in Yorkville, IL. She married her high school sweetheart, Kurt Rewerts, and has two daughters, Nina and Nadia.
